4 Seasons’ Mission

Our mission is to provide superior artisan baked goods made with local, seasonal and natural ingredients. Our influence has come from a traditional European way of life, the Slow Food movement and our friends the local farmers and ranchers. Great tasting and healthy food is more than a trend for us, it’s a passion and a way of life.

Think global. Start Local. Eat Fresh. And be happy.

Meet the Chefs

Agi and Aaron Groff are graduates of the Culinary Institute of America with over 20 years of combined experience in the culinary field. Their relationship began in culinary school and has grown into a loving partnership in marriage and business!

Agi’s European background, natural talent, and formal training bring the taste and style of Europe a little closer to you. She uses many old German recipes that have been passed down over the generations. Aaron’s formal pastry training, instinctive culinary talent, and honed “front of the house” skills, learned at the Ritz-Carlton, rounds out the team. Agi and Aaron have blended their skill set and maximized their strengths to create a customer-focused business.

This duo isn’t content to rely solely on their past training and are continuously researching new recipes and utilizing new techniques. Agi and Aaron have a particular interest in organic farming and find inspiration in the farms they visit, the relationships they nurture, and their regular trips to Europe .

Talent, skill, and experience can only take them so far. Their passion for creating innovative desserts and other culinary fare is what drives them. Their dream is to own their own pastry shop. So, with the support of their wonderful friends, family, and customers, they are trying to make that dream come true. They started small and are quickly growing. Aaron and Agi have a liscensed production kitchen in St.Charles County where all of their pastries and other fare are prepared. They then bring their provisions to local farmers’ markets. Demand for the 4 Seasons Baked Goods & Catering products has grown over the past year and they have expanded their services to include catering and wholesale supply. This season they are expanding to an additional Saturday market and are now offering online shopping.

Even with all of this growth and success, Agi and Aaron remain the sole bakers in this enterprise. They do it all - from shopping for the freshest ingredients to serving beautiful four course meals. Agi and Aaron are committed to long term relationships with their customers and are intent on keeping 4 Seasons Baked Goods & Catering a family affair.
